Prebuilt Abyss
This is going to be our new tradition-stopping here for lunch on the way home from gulf shores. Excellent moist and Smokey pulled pork. Sauce comes on the side with all choices very good. Try the Alabama style white sauce because you’re in Alabama after all. Mac and cheese was good Lima beans and turnip greens were both ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT. Lots of deep development of flavor in both! Very friendly people, good prices, great food. Routing for this place like crazy! Glad we found it!

First visit. Nice clean little place, staff was very warm and friendly. Food was very good too. Best gizzards I've had around here in a while. Definitely worth your time and money to visit. Prices were not high, portions were generous. We're coming back!

This the the place to eat BBQ on your way to and from the Gulf! If you find yourself on 65, stop here, even if you just ate. Their BBQ is excellent and tender, their baked beans, fried gizzards and livers are the best we've eaten. Excellent staff! Great prices and portions! We will be back!

I went there and ordered a good amount of food. This was my first time ever eating there. As I place my order the manager is over the cashier shoulder watching her count down the register ( no biggie) The cashier takes my order and while she is trying to hear what I’m saying, all you can hear is the manager saying is that the register is 11 dollars short. She went on and on about it. The cashier finally turned my order into the cook. I patiently waited. When I arrived to my destination, I realized my order was wrong, mind you I’m 35 minutes away. I arrived back and politely asked for the manager and the cook told me that the manager was outside in her car and asked another worker to go knock on the manager ‘s window!! At this time I’m blowed!! Finally the manager came in looking like she was coming down off a high and asked me what was wrong.. I explained it to her and she told me that she wasn’t trying to give bad customer service and I knew that they were in the middle of counting down the drawers!! I said mam that isn’t my problem and you knew you were in the middle of counting down when you took my money!! I explained to her that I had driven 35 minutes and she didn’t care the least. She did refund my money but never in a million years will I stop there or refer someone to a place who let 11 dollars stop them from getting a customer order together.

Stopped in on our way to Orange Beach and so glad we did. Excellent, fresh-smoked BBQ and friendly service. The perfect cure for the hangry traveler. Try the gizzards - they melt in your mouth.
